We view projects through two lenses: category creators versus category subscription. Category creation is zero to one. We see the most asymmetric upside here. Category subscription has capped upside and is more competitive in existing categories. It's all about world-class founders. Top 1% of founders have a vision, endurance, durability and strategy to navigate the bottleneck of early stage crypto.  

After we invest, we are the first line of support. We spend 85% of our time working with our existing founders than we do looking at our new deal flow. Our founders have come to expect expert guidance on supporting token economics, integrating protocol design, and adjusting toward product market fit. Our goal is for day-to-day mental and emotional support. We are in the trenches with our founders working on their hard problems daily.

We source almost all of our investments via unicorn founders that we have backed before. What we have found is that the next generation of young, visionary founders, have always looked backed to their predecessor peers for council and advice. Rarely is a founder seeking a VC for advice on who take capital from or how to structure their cap-table. What they do is ask founders of successful projects who their most valuable cap-table investor is, and the answer often leads them to connect with us.

The liquidity profile inherent with tokens and their time frames for realization allow us to strategically manage liquidity for our fund against the fast changing narratives in the crypto space. When it comes to current trends and narratives, we are always looking to anticipate where the puck is going so we can plan accordingly. Narratives change quickly in crypto and GPs adaptability is the key to returning capital to LPs.
